Even though we were waiting for you for over 3 years, we wanted to see your picture and know your Chinese given name before we decided. After we got our picture, your dad and I had a week to decide the perfect name for you before we had to mail in the paperwork to the adoption agency.

We could not agree on a name. Your dad liked Taylor, Catherine, Meredith, or Julia. . . .we finally agreed to ask for help from our friends on Facebook. Lots of suggestions were sent for you! We decided on Isabella. This means "God's Promise" and also "Devoted to God". Isabella is a variant of Elizabeth (John the Baptist's mom). We thought it was the perfect name for such a sweet, little, delicate girl.
